Forget a motel, forget an RV you have not had the best vacation you have ever had until you have stayed in a Mountain Cabin.

Mountain cabins are usually found in the best locations, situated in beautiful mountain settings and range from brand new to rustic charm. What more could you want from your mountain cabin.

You may be thinking rustic charm may mean old fashioned but today many mountain cabins are fully equipped with all the latest mod cons such as wonderful log fires, hot tubs, cable TV and fully equipped kitchens. One of the best features though of a mountain cabin is, unsurprisingly, the mountains. I suppose it goes without saying that you would expect mountains next to a mountain cabin, after all it seems sensible, but until you have visited some of the best places to vacation in the US you may not have been to the mountains before and boy are you missing something.

So try us folks up here in the mountains where the air is clean, the views are superb, the food is great and the activities are unparalleled...Read More...

Planning A Fishing Vacation For The Whole Family

The ideal vacation for many is hopping on a plane or driving cross-country. The person does not have to go far to have fun since family bonding can be accomplished by planning a fishing trip.

The individual can look in the Internet to check out some fishing cabins or contact those that are in the phone directory. It is not enough to just ask how much it costs. It is important to ask some other details to make the trip a memorable experience.

Here are some of the questions worth asking lodge owner about.

1. When is it best to go fishing? Some people will say this can be done at any time perhaps to make money. It is best to call those who live near the lake itself because these people will be able to tell when is the best time to go to the lake.

2. This might be the first time that the family is going to the lake. It will be a good idea to ask if there is a guide that will be able to direct the people to the best fishing site. Those that don't should be able to tell where to go on the map.

3. Most fish are in the deeper portion of the lake. The only way to get there will be by riding on a boat so its best to check the conditions of the rental fleet. If this is well equipped, then the person doesn't need to buy additional accessories. Read More...

British Columbia - Ranchlands and Rivers Circle

Although you could start your drive anywhere along this circle route, this one starts out from Hope. This town is nestled against the Cascade Mountains on the banks of the Fraser River. Hope, only two hours inland from the west coast enjoys a temperate climate thanks to warm, moist Pacific Ocean airstreams. Comfortable and relatively dry summers and mild, wet winters. Snow infrequently falls in low-lying areas and when it does, it usually melts within days. Nearby is the stunning Fraser canyon gorge, an area featured in numerous movies filmed in Hope, including "Rambo-First Blood" with Sylvester Stallone.

You'll head north on Hwy 1, following the mighty Fraser River, named after Simon Fraser, the first European to navigate its waters. Once a transportation link for wagons and stagecoaches traveling the old Cariboo Wagon Road, the Fraser Canyon roadway now transports you through awe-inspiring scenery.

Cutting a heart-stopping swath through the Cascade Mountains and the Coast Mountains, the river creates a colossal valley of lush forests, dramatic gorges and mountainside farms.

Your first stop is at Hell's Gate to see nature in its full magnificence. Read More...
